SEO or Search Engine Optimization is the process which done for a website to reach it to visitors when they search any information using search engines. People use search engines for getting their necessary information. Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask etc are the example of search enginess.

To know SEO we have to know some of basic terms related to Search Engine Optimization.

1. What is Search Engine?

Search Engine is a software program which is used to search any data, file or any information from website. If we want to know something we go to search engine and type to search box and click on search button
Then it shows thousands of results and we get necessary information. Gooogle.com, Yahoo.com, Ask.com etc are search engines.

2. What is Crwling?

Crwles is a program which is used to scan and analys any Website's data for storing. Spider and Robot work as Crwlers.

3. What is Indexing?

When search engines crwle any site it scan and analyze Websites and  store data for future as a database document. When people search anything in search engine, it shows the stored data.

Types of SEO:

1. White Hat SEO

White Hat SEO refers that a website is created for visitor not for seatch engines. It follows search engine's rules.

2. Black Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO does not follow search engine's rules. It shows a reasult to search engine and an other result to visitor.

We will discuss about White Hat SEO. White Hat SEO is two types:
1. On Page SEO
2. Off Page SEO

On Page SEO

On Page SEO is the SEO activities which are done into the website. Some important factors for On Page SEO:

1. Domain Name Selection:

Domain Name is a important factor for on page seo. Select a releted Domain Name for your Website. If your site is about seo, you can give your Domain Name www.seo.com

2. Key words

Keywords are the main words which describe your site to search engines. If your site is SEO related, you can give keywords SEO, on page seo, off page seo, search, engine etc. Provide Your Key words in your template and section Where Meta tags located. See bellow.

3. Meta Tags

I think Meta Tag is the most important thing for on page seo. Meta tag describe all about a Website to a search engine. The meta tag is like bellow

4. Roboat.txt

Robots txt says search engines that where it will search or not. Use robots txt for your site.

5. Sitemap

Sitemap describes all linking links of your site. Use an xml sitemap for your site.

6. Anchor Link

Anchor link is the link of other page. Use anchor link for better seo Performance.

Off Page SEO

Off page SEO is the outsite seo activities of your site. Some activities of off page seo are following:

1. Article Submission

Article submission is the process of submit some article to others Website with your Site's link.

2. Bookmaking

Bookmarking is a system of submission your site's link to others site. There are available sites where you can bookmark your website.

3. Backlink

Backlink is the process of submission your Website's link to other sites using comment. See the bellow code:

Change my address with your address and my anchor text with your text.

These are the most about SEO. But another important think is to submitting Website to search engines Website.

So you need to submit your site to:

1. Google Webmaster

2. Bing Webmaster

3. Yahoo Webmaster

4. Ask Webmaster etc. 

And verify your site. Also you need to submit your Robots.txt and Sitemap.xml file.
